Tandoor in Rego Park

Okay Chicken Tikka Masala. Not in depth of flavor sauce with chicken. The Naan breads were good though.

Would definitely recommend eating here. Excellent mood, yummy food, great customer service. Highly recommended.

As usual, Tandoor served us a wonderful meal which was promptly delivered. Tandoor, our local Indian restaurant, NEVER disappoints. We received our meals and naan, well packaged, hot, ready to eat and enjoy. Our chicken, goat, paneer, soup and vegetable dishes were tasty and well cooked. We are proud to have such a long standing Indian restaurant in our Rego Park neighborhood!

I enjoyed the authentic flavor of this Indian cuisine.

We have eaten in once and this was our third take out ( pick up order). Always really good but todays was fantastic , amazing job chef. We are from UK and know Indian food well . Today was totally outstanding. Spice level was superb and layered, Vindaloo hot but super good and their daal is incredible every time.

Very good food, however disappointed in the Take out portion sizes.

Come on guys. Be fair. How can this eatery get a 3.7 rating!? It would, if compared to Paris' "LE CHATEAUBRIAND"... But, when you pay 9$ (lunchtime) for "All you can eat" MUCH MORE THAN AVERAGE Lunch, how do you rate it likewise? Look at my photos, see what is offered for the lousy 9$ lunchtime. Oh... There is a desert included too.

Must say this is my favorite Indian restaurant by far! The daily buffets, the awesome weekend buffets, to the menu dinner -everything is always fresh and perfectly seasoned. I've tried other Indian restaurants in Queens, but they just don't compare to Tandoor. I've tried restaurants in Nassau county - they don't compare either! This is like a gem. It's authentic and they have the best cook!

The samosa is incredible - I️ would come here just for this. Also, the food was actually spicy. Got the chicken tikka masala, garlic and regular naan, and chicken basmati. The chicken itself seemed like it was of lower quality, so we ended up eating the naan with the rice and sauces. If they had better quality meat, I would give it 5 stars.

This place is usually OK but the last time I went for their brunch buffet, it was pretty bad. The taste itself is fine but the variety and effort was dismal. They had about six different dishes but with the same exact sauce. It's like they didn't care and was lazy and was like "**CK it".

I've gotten take-out and delivery several times. The food's always tasty and packed well. There are several containers of mint sauces, chutney, etc. When I pass by in the evening, the restaurant is nearly deserted, with diners seated at one or two of their 10+ tables. I've never dined in myself, but I'm guessing their service is lacking.

We order delivery or take out from this place regularly. There is no doubt that this is the best Indian restaurant in the Rego Park/Forest Hills neighborhood. Samosa Chaat, Kebabs, Biryani, Chicken Achari, Chicken Korma, Laccha Paratha, Dal Tadka and Dal Makhni are top items to be ordered. There are days when they are off but you can call them and get it fixed immediately. They have been kind enough to replace or refund as requested. I wish they could serve Indo-Chinese items as well but without compromising the authenticity of Mughlai/North Indian style food they offer.

Went there with business clinets for lunch buffet and the guy came over and said we cant just eat spefic food and demanded we try other stuff wth!! Rude rude rude

One of the WORST Indian restaurants I have been to, this restaurant was way better several years ago. The Tandoori chicken and kebabs undercooked, the curries are watery and bland, and the lunch buffet is horrible in taste and quality. Zero stars.

This is a must try Indian and Nepali cuisine; they offers a wide variety of delicious food by the main courses. they even offers a catering picnic and take out nearJFK. Me and my friend we also ordered a takeout a MoMo (dumplings) and chicken tikka and a chicken Birani. It was all followed by some spicy pickles as a side dishes.They were exquisite and fresh. So glad I found this near my home.

Authentic Indian Food , Our local curry house ..A staple in the area for many years. Very tasty and well seasoned food . Tandoori , Massala & Vindaloo ..are their specialities . a special Mango lassy drink for a beverage. Also buffett meals during lunch hours 7 days a week.

I've gone often for the lunch time buffet, it's really good both in terms of tasts and value. The staff is very friendly and prompt also. Highly recommend.

Well the food is normally delicious at this restaurant. I am just now becoming a fan of Indian Food. However, my Chicken Tandoori tasted rubbery and nothing like chicken.. yikes. Decided to try a Lamb dish which turned out to be delicious. Can't remember the name of it lol...I will continue trying different dishes the next time I eat Indian. Any suggestions ???

Great place! They have really delicious somosas and mangolasi. I also enjoy their private bathroom, because i get anxiety being in a stall bathroom. However, they are very low in costumers, and i found one of the employees sleeping on the sitting area : /

The Dishes Were Dirty And Even Though Their Place Is Fancy They Need To Work On Being Clean For The Price I Paid I Expect More. There Wasn't Just One Dirty Dish It Was Half The Plates And The Cups At My Table Looked Like They Were Already Used By Others And Had Pieces Of Food And Mark's On It I Think This Place Could Do Better Than This And Go Back To Being Clean

We had the fixed price dinner. It was excellent. Generous portions. Tasty. Attentive service.

I tried this place in the past with a friend and I am addicted since then. I love the great character and delightful food and drinks. They never disappoint.

Discussing behavior. We were fasting and came in to the restaurant to break our fast. The man said to hurry up and order because the kitchen was going to be closed for 10-15 minutes. He gave us only 2 menus and there was 5 of us. How are we supposed to order if we all don’t get a menu? And he showed us a attitude. Told us to get out. I’m telling you, if you want to go to this place don’t go because the people are so rude there. There also was no one there.

I ordered on grubhub and the manager called and said that the food would arrive in one and a half hours. An hour and a half later, the food had not arrived, so I called the restaurant. The manager then said again it would arrive in an hour and a half. We ended up having to pick up the food ourselves. However, when we got home we realized that we had only received half our order. If you want to have anything close to a good time/experience, DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. I would give the restaurant negative stars, but alas, that's not possible. P.S. I contacted grubhub about the issue and luckily I received a full refund. When the restaurant realized that we had been refunded, they started calling and threatening my partner and I. We were forced to block their number because the man on the phone said he would call us all night long...after I repeatedly asked him not to call again. Beware. Please beware.

I absolutely love their dishes and customer service, awesome area to my house. The workers are always super friendly. Highly recommended.

Delivery is bad. Unprofessional and disorganized. Food never arrives on time and is cold. For the price you would expect better service. They do not hold themselves accountable for delivery and have delivered items that i was allergic too even after i had included messages about my food allergies in my order. I will never order from here Again.

They serve large portions and for convenient pricing. very welcoming owner. They never disappoint.

The lunch buffet was ok. Ordered murg tikka as an entree and the chicken was raw which is not sanitory or safe. Waitor told me that they couldnt cook it properly cause the oven was turned off. So why did they serve the chicken in the first place?

Service and Food was Impeccable!!! The place is cozy and the Staff esp. Nirftaj is accommodating. Worth a trip to dine at Tandoor

Food is okay for the most part but is too inconsistent. Staff is mediocre at best, don't do much, and act surprised if you don't tip as much. They also started adding a service charge to customers who dine-in. The last time we (3 people) came here, they put an extra 18% on the bill and took it off once we told them. This time they were far more stubborn and refused to take off the service charge even though we only had 3 people. If you have to get food from here, definitely do not dine-in. I suggest skipping the place altogether. The food isn't really worth the money and tastes pretty flat, the plates and glasses have never been clean every time we came here, the staff is pretty lousy, watching videos on full blast in the corner of the room, and they try to scam you out of your money. Avoid this place, it's a shadow of its former self before they relocated. Theres a reason why it's usually empty.
